There's a checkbox in the Tools, Options, Player Page, "allow Internet connection to override other commands". Ensure that this is not checked. ----- Original Message ----- From: Hal Pearson To: JFW List Sent: Thursday, December 14, 2006 4:29 AM Subject: jfw 8 and windows media player 11 Hi all on list, Last night I opened windows media player 10 and got a notice that there was an update and I chose it; I'm kind of sorry I did. I'm now running the latest, media player 11 and I must say that I much prefer player 10. With jfw 7.1 and 8, you could open media player 10 and hear jfw say, default view; this no longer happens in the new version. Is there a way I can stop the player from accessing the internet on first opening? When I open the player I hear jfw say 0 links, followed by "Open parent document button". Also I find that jfw starts to lag after a short time. Are there any tips and tricks for accessing windows media 11?
