HI,

I use Jaws 6.2 but I'm going to assume that Jaws 7.0 hasn't changed in terms of how you would interact with a DOS Window. If you're using Windows XP then you would be working inside what it refers to as a Command Prompt window (they don't call it DOS anymore). Once you've opened a Command Prompt window you want to be sure to maximize the window to be sure that all the text in the window is displayed so you can read it properly. The only way to read anything in a Command Prompt window is to use the Jaws cursor. None of the standard read commands using the PC cursor will work. All your reading has to be done with the Jaws cursor. Once the window is opened, route your Jaws cursor (Insert and minus sign on the NumPad). Then you can use your arrow keys to navigate the window and read the text. It's not the most efficient way to get anything done but that's as good as it gets.

Michael
