Sounded like it is accessible with Jaws.

I am interested in writing some macros for MS Word. I just want to write a few simple editing macros such as inserting a Placemarker1 into a text file and also inserting a placemarker2 into the same file and writing a command that will select all the text from placemarker1 through placemarker2 and delete all of the selected portion. It would be nice if I could make multiple placemarker1 and placemarker2 and then be able to give the command to delete all of the marked text in the file. It would make editing a scanned file that is converted to text much easier to edit.

So far as I know, Jaws itself doesn't have any macros.Is it Word macros
you're interested in, or some other program?
