Steve and list, great key stroke, but know that at least in word XP which I 
am using, you have to have the "check spelling as you type" check box 
checked.  you can get to this check box by going into options under the 
tools menu ( alt plus t plus O)
then control tab to the spelling tab and the first control is the check 
spelling as type check box.  check it and tab over to okay and your done and 
able to use stephens great tip.
