Francis,

Before I retired, I often forwarded messages to myself from my work computer so that I would have them on my computer at home. I don't know about the options on your email program under Vista, but I'll tell you how I did it using Outlook Express. Under the Send tab in the Options dialog on the Tools menu, I unchecked Send messages immediately. Doing this allowed me to place messages in the Out Box with Alt+s ready to be sent when I pressed Control+m. However, if I tried to send a message to myself with Control+m, it would just come back to the same computer. To prevent this, I would always exit Outlook Express and answer Yes to the prompt that asked if I wanted to send the messages in my Out Box. I would then be able to get the messages when I got home. If you can do something similar on your Vista laptop, it should get the job done

There is also an email option that you could set on one of your computers to leave a copy of your email on the server. Each time you downloaded messages using that computer, the same messages would remain available to be downloaded on your other machine. This could make it unnecessary to forward messages from one computer to another, but you would have to delete your junk mail twice!
