formatting hard disk?

Hello everyone,my Window Xp is troubling me for a while and I wanna reformat
the hard drive but the trouble is that I don't know much about formatting the
drive with JAWS help.Is there anyone who will be kind enough to help me out
with some step by step procedures at this task?Many thanx in Advance!
