You discovered one of Firefox's major shortcomings: you can't use its built-in
RSS feed reader. Unlike IE which maintains a list of RSS feeds separate from
the Favorites list, Firefox keeps RSS feeds in the same list as Bookmarks and
marks them as Live Bookmarks. Unfortunately, Live Bookmarks are distinguished
from other Bookmarks only by color and there is no way for JAWS to identify
them. And Firefox provides no means of determining which feeds contain updated
content; in IE, feeds with updated content are labeled as "new". Even if you
could import your feeds from IE, neither JAWS nor Firefox provides any audible
alert that a feed has been discovered on a web page. So, for all intents and
purposes, the RSS feed reading function of Firefox is inaccessible with JAWS,
and your best bet is to stick with IE for this purpose.
