digest clutter

I have also complained about this privately to the list owner but to no avail.
It's so bad that I have considered leaving the list on more than one occasion.
But every time I think about dropping the list there is something on it that I
really benefit from. I have had some success at navigating by using the find
command and looking for the particular subject lines I might be interested in.
But this is by no means satisfactory.
Something must be done and soon!
