Yep, to clarify just a bit, if you have JAWS running and you hit the numpad
slash to turn on the JAWS cursor, you can read whatever is at that current
position, but when you route the cursor to a specific location, like route
pc to JAWS, your pc cursor will jump to the place where the jaws cursor is
and give focus to that part of the screen. Hope that makes sense?

OK--as I understand it, if you just hit the jaws cursor your focus will be wherever the mouse pointer happens to be. Insert + jaws cursor will route the mouse and focus to wherever the PC cursor is at the time.

Subject: differences between routing to jaws kursor and just hitting the num pad minus
Hi everyone,
My friend and I we both want to know, what's the different between hitting the insert with the JAWS Kursor key (routing jaws to pc) and just hitting the JAWS key by itself.
Same thing with the pc kursor, what's different between hitting insert with the pc kursor (routing pc to jaws) and just the pc kursor key itself? Please?
Thanks.
