I have also noticed that, upon occasion, my machine gets bound up and you lose JAWS completely unless you ctrl + esc to minimize or whatever it does the application. I am running a current XP Home and JAWS 5.0. I have not downloaded or installed the latest updates to JAWS. Other programs may flip out a little, and of course accessing programs you don't already have open will cause windows to scream at you, but that problem shouldn't happen.
