Actually, if you do what I suggested, you would not be able to do as you speak of. Imap is probably the easiest way to go on that front, but as you stated before, the arrangement doesn't make you happy. Understandably so. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Tom Behler Sent: Monday, August 10, 2009 1:00 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: continuing g-mail and Outlook Problem concerning deleted messages not going into g-mail trash folder If I do this, and move all e-mail to the original Outlook Express folders via the pop3 interface, will I be able to access them on both my home PC and laptop? Or, will I have to do something else special in Outlook Express to make that happen. I need access to both the home PC and my laptop for work. You have the folder issue because you use imap. Simply change your Gmail account settings to pop, and your messages will come to the original inbox. Your other Gmail folds will still be there unless you move all of those messages to the original folders and then remove the Gmail folders. If I go to the pop3 option, would I then only have the original set of Outlook Express folders? If so, how can I switch from the imap interface to the pop3 interface? Is that possible, or would I have to re-install g-mail and re-integrate it into Outlook Express all over again? I'm still learning here, so thanks for your patience.
