complete and total lockup with xpsp2

xp pro and jaws5.1 i installed sp2 on saturday from the cd. it has locked up
anywhare from within an hour to right away. i had to uninstal it last night and
got the download from windows update. installed again and had the same problem.
has anybody heard of this happening? i guess i'll have to wait for sp3 or jaws
6 or something. i made sure that i didn't have 2 firewalls running at the same
time. i can't figure out at all what was causing the problem.
