David,

I assume you mean the indicator showing that a message has an attachment.  I
am assuming that you didn't disable the ability to receive attachments in your
security options of OE.

From your inbox, alt-v for views, arrow down to columns; look for the
attachment indicator and press spacebar to check it or tab over to the show
attachment button and press the spacbar there.  If you tab over and see hide
attachment button, then the indicator is already set to be shown, as this
button will toggle between states.

Second, if JFW is not saying attachment, then you may need to move the
attachment button up the list.  I have mine listed on top, just press the move
up button.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

Does anybody know how to recheck the box so as to put the prompting back in
before opening attachments after the insert+A command is used? I took it out
and would like to put it back in now but the way isn't obvious to me.
