Subject: XP SP2

I just got a note in my system tray that updates are ready for =
downloading-specifically XP SP2. Is this update necessary, or is it a =
nightmare? Any experience with this update out there?

Also, slightly off-topic, Can we PLEASE stop including every message in =
a thread with our responses? I use digest mode, and as many digest mode =
users do, I search on "subject:" to skip from message to message. This =
becomes difficult when every message in a thread is included with every =
response to a thread--making the digest "huge" and unwieldy for digest =
users. I think the people reading the response know what the thread is =
about and don't really need to have the entire history of the thread =
attached with each response. Perhaps attaching only the most recent =
message in the thread-if necessary-for contextual purposes would be more =
helpful and the least burdensome approach. Simply whittling down the =
size of the message before hitting "send" would help us out alot.

Just One man's opinion,

phil halton
