Windows messenger and JFW 5.1.

Hi list. I installed JFW 5.1 today and when I was using Windows messenger,
Jaws wouldn't read incoming or outgoing messages. The only way I could read
these messages was to press the ` key twice for the first message and so on.
In version 5.0.844 there was no problem with this. Is there anything I can do?
Is there a fix and has anyone else had this problem. I'm using WinXP
