Windows Mail And Contacts List

Hi everyone. I'm having trouble moving up and down the list of contacts I have
in Windows Mail of Windows Home premium. I even went as far as going in to the
view menu, going to list, and hitting enter to check it. But I'm still having
trouble arrowing up and down the list and sometimes, my contacts folder isn't
responding when I try to close it. Does anybody know what could be causing
this? If anyone does know, how can I fix it?
