Thanks and I'm sure your advice is correct.
In my case, I just want to make it permanent for a couple of sites and not all

  You may regret turning flash off for all websites, but it can be done. The 
following instructions were posted by a former lister, Allan Wong. I believe 
they still work.

  permanent disable flash movies for all pages:

  1.  In Internet  Explorer, press JawsKey+6 (on the number row), press alt+s 
for set options, arrow down to html options and hit enter.

  2. press ctrl+tab until misc tab, here you press alt+i to check "ignore flash 
on web pages", this is uncheck by default.

  3. tab to ok button and save the changes.

  can use the jaws key plus letter V to go to jaws options. then press the 
letter F as in frank until you hear flash movies and if it is on use the space
