If you just let it do the test after about a minuet it will come up and give
you an option that says "I am behind a firewall and there is nothing I can
do about it". It will configure around the firewall and you will only loose
a little search speed. The download speed will not be affected.

Hi, you most likely aren't using a proxy, so you can ignore it, or leave it unchecked. What kind of firewall aree you using. Usually, if you are using a fireewall, the test you are running should havee asked if you wanted to allow this program.

Subject: WINMX question
Hi list. Hope this is not off topic, it does not just ask a jaws question
but a configuration question. Am installing winmx and during the test phase
I receive a message about configuring my ports manually because can not
receive or send files as ports are configured. I am using DSL connection
and would appreciate help in configuring whatever ports I need, it is asking
about using proxy etc. Thanks and let me know if this was off list topic
please.
