Um know. You just send your finished vlite session the unatided file and
then you use vlite to bur the DVD. So instead of having to do the whole
thing yourself all you got to do is use the work of someone else and burn
the disk. Cool yes?

Your still going to have to do all the reinstall of drivers, hotfixes etc,
and you'd still have to mess about with putting the unattended install file
somewhere etc.

Using vlite means everything is on the DVD. If you wanted, I think it would
be possible to even put JAWS on the same DVD and get it to install that if
the install has a silent install mode.

Most Pcs don't have floppy drives now, nad the BIOS tends not to be set up
to boot from a USB flash drive so think it would be loads of hastle in
getting it to read the file on installation.

What would be really cool is if some one makes an unatend file like we have
for xp and put it somewhere where it can be downloaded. So this way thoughs
of us who don’t feel like making one can have it for download. Been meaning
to do this but have not got around to it. Anyone else a taker?

Forgot to mention that also you can tell it to have user account control
turned off right from the start of the installation of windows and even
set your control panel to classic view.

Best yet, it's all free.

Hi, I've just found a fantastic utility which allows you to create an
unattended install of Vista including being able ot choose all the options
shown on installation and which components you actually want placing on the
DVD.

The best bit is that you can include all hotfixes and service packs, device
drivers etc, so if your like me and your sound card doesn't install
automatically when you install Vista normally, when doing this it does
install during installation and then the Vista install becomes accessible
with speech part way through.

The program is called Vlie and it is completely accessible although you need
to play around a bit.

Just type in vlite in to Google and it brings it up first on hte list I
think.

I would recommend it for anyone using Vista.

You can even tell it a directory where you have all your drivers you want
including on the DVD and it will put them on the DVD. For example I had my
original manuafacturers driver DVD and just pointed it to that. Then it
included all my drivers on the DVD so everything was working on startup.

The only question it asked when I did my install using it was which drive to
install on but that was one option to pick for a sighted user as aposed to
many.

After the install my sound and everything was working because I got it to
include the driver on the DVD it created.

Hope this is useful. I'm very happy that I can now do a full install without
assistance.

If anybody needs help with this I'm happy to provide it where I can.

Peter
