Chris, using Jaws 9 and with Jaws in the systray, I did insert J went to basics
menu, then voices sub-menu then global and did alt S and I was able to cycle
through 12 voices. Of course, I had selected sapi 5 voices with
insert-control-s.
I am using Windows XP with 512 bytes ram. So, I have just the basic processing
power here. Anyway, I was able to arrow through all 12 voices on my system. The
Microsoft voices were at the top and the last 3 were VW, I believe, at least
they began with VW so and so.
I am using Tom as my default voice with the say all command. I did notice
though that it took several seconds to announce a new voice as I arrowed
through the list--I presume they were loading. Sometimes I had to arrow up and
down a few times before any voice announcement was made but eventually the
voice did load. I understand there were some faulty Jaws 9 disks sent out then
replaced but I presume you are aware of that issue. It appears that your system
can't find the path to your sappy voices. I only installed them after Jaws 9
was installed I can see if they work in Jaws 8.

Hi, I cannot duplicate this here! Now, I do not
have the RealSpeak voices, nor do I have JAWS in
my system tray. Are these required in order to
duplicate the problem? It's certainly bizarre,
and ought to be reported to FS as soon as possible.
