Yeah I have 2007, but I rather just read things as a word document it is
much easier and I can either read word for word, by sentences, or paragraph.
I don't know how it work on PowerPoint, but when I tried to navigate on
there it was complicated. I am a college student and in my opinion it is
easier and better to read it as a document instead of on the slides. Most
teacher don't put pictures on the slides when presenting it to the class
unless you're taking a art class or some class that is more visual type of
learning. You might want to ask your teacher to email you the PowerPoint the
day before so that you will know what is going to be on the PowerPoint so
you would know what she is going over. Also do the same for the
handout/worksheets the teachers give out in class. All the teachers have a
digital format save on their computer that they can send to you.

Hi.

another way to read powerpoints is in the Slide show view. Hit f5
from the Slide Area and you will be able to have jaws read each slide.
Hit spacebar to advance through the slides. If you have powerpoint
2003, you can hit f6 a few times until you are in the outline view and
read the slide from there. Jaws doesn't read this information in 2007
for some reason. Only screen reader I've heard can do that is Window
Eyes.

Thanks.
Alex
