Yes, that's a good practice. However for my purposes I just use a single 
JAWS hotkey Ctrl Alt J and if I want to launch another, I use the desktop 
shortcuts.

we have more options for making shortcuts on desktop.

Follow the examples of our friend, I would like to give you some options:

Jaws 10.0: alt+shift+j
Jaws 11.0 ctrl+shift+j
Jaws 12.0 ctrl+alt+j
