I've often found in the past running any registry cleaners can lead to crashes etc. I never use any now and don't have any more problems than I've had in the past.

Hello. Someone on another list suggested that I correct some frequent program errors I currently face, by running System Mechanic to fix my registry. I have used Ver. 3 of this program in the past, but don't know what the latest version is that is also accessible with JAWS. I'm running JFW 9 (probably soon to upgrade to 10 through the SMA). I'm asking because a few years ago, folks on this list discouraged me from running System Mechanic 4--I don't remember why.
