Spell Check Help

Howdy, I am using Outlook Express and confirmed that my Spell Check option is
selected.
However on messages I am trying to send with known misspelled words, I am
getting JAWS saying "blank' with no suggested spellings.
What do I need to do to correct this please. Many thanks, Mitch
