Hi, Drew, try this and see if you can't get subscribed to the book group this
way. Good luck.

I didn't actually try the email address for this forum in the email. But I can
see what is wrong with it. The person who wrote the message included the wrong
kind of link--one that opens your Browser rather then a new message. Second,
the words "mail to" should be taken out of the email address. Simply copy
everything after the "mail to" and see if it works.

Tim

I can't find another address to reach Jack at. If you could have him contact
me separately that would be great. Thanks

  Drew

Hi, Drew, I wrote to the moderator's personal email address which is a part
of the email and told him about myself and how and what I liked to read. The
address sounded like blind something or other but I don't remember the rest.
His name is Jack Zimmerman. I had no trouble and hope this helps. Let me know
if it doesn't and I'll write to him personally and see if he can help you out.
Have a blessed day.

Hi, I'm passing this on for somebody so people can be made aware of
this new group. It seems like a fun group. With this being a book related
list I thought people might want to do this off the record but not to take away
from this list in the least bit.

        Good evening folks

This may be a bit off topic but as one can indeed read books using
one's
braille note I thought I would see if anyone here was interested.

        Please read below
        Hello

My name is Jack Zimmerman. Do you like to read? Do you like to
discuss
what you've read?? Then I've got just the group for you. I would like
to
invite you to join our book talk List. Tis called appropriately enough
booktalk. And that is what it's all about. Anything to do with books
with
a a blind or visually impaired perspective. How you read them. Do you
prefer braille or audio?? and what devices you may use. Reviews of
books you've read and enjoyed or ones you haven't and why?? Comments
on
your favorite authors or the characters they create and or series they
write. Requests for or suggestions of books to read. In short anything
to
do with books is acceptable. You will receive a warm courteous
friendly
and cordial welcome and the only rule is that which applies to any
public
forum, that you respect the views of others. There are two ways you
can
        join.

        Either write me at

        mailto:blindman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

and I will be glad to add you

        or send a blank

        mailto:book_talk-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

As an antispam measure I will need to approve your subscription but
that
will never take longer than 3 or 4 hours.

I look forward to seeing you there.

        Cordially

        Jack Zimmerman
