I don't know if someone suggested this before, but try maximizing the screen and refreshing it. Here is something that probably sounds a bit unorthodox. When reading a large document, I have Outlook open behind it. When the reading gets strange, difficult or erratic I alt tab to Outlook and stay there for a minute or two. If possible, I read a few messages. I go back to my document and it reads fine, until the next time. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that for my next revision or whatever. -- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 Klango: chrishallsworth FTP: ftp://chrishallsworth.dyndns.org----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange" <Corange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2008 11:07 PM Subject: RE: Say All and Word 2003Try setting your view in Word to be "normal". Yes, it does happen to me sometimes too, but I don't use this all that much. To get around it, select all and copy to the clipboard, open up notepad, dump it in, maximize it and make sure wordwrap is turned on, and use notepad for reading all. hth, Chip ------------------------------ Chip Orange Database Administrator Florida Public Service Commission Chip.Orange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (850) 413-6314 (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.)-----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Hallsworth Sent: Monday, September 01, 2008 1:17 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Say All and Word 2003 Hi all, using JAWS 9 latest build under Vista Home Premium SP1, I'm having some problems with Say All under Word 2003. It starts reading fine, but somewhere along the way it will either jump back to the top of the document and basically read it all again, or will just stop randomly, in both cases getting me lost in the document. I was doing some revision today for an exam tomorrow, and it was really frustrating to discover this. Does anyone else experience this problem? It also happened last week in an exam I took, however I didn't want to report it then since I wasn't sure if it would continue, but it has. I tried changing the view from normal to print. I even tried to maximize the Word 2003 window, with no result in both cases. I've installed all the latest Office updates, but it still hasn't solved the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! P.S. This doesn't occur anywhere else, like Internet Explorer or Notepad. -- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 Klango: chrishallsworth FTP: ftp://chrishallsworth.dyndns.org -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
