Remote desktop question

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone else has found this.
With the remote desktop, logging in is not a problem.
Anyone find that it sometimes doesn't talk until you switch
synthesizers?
Sometimes when I log in, it'll do it just fine, but other times you
don't know whether it is logged in or not.
Any thoughts on this?
