Could you have forgotten to check the box for "run Jaws from system tray"? It
is in the Jaws context menu under basics.

I just download JAWS 8.0 and after I restart my computer, JAWS does not
announce each item in the Destop, start menu, ETC. For me to read the item, I
need to use the say line command. Why it is happen?
