Well, firstly, you mentioned that you use Windows XP.  If you hit
control+alt+delete you'll land in an accessible list of programs running on
your PC.  You can control+tab to the Processes tab and shut down any
processes you don't want.  It's a better method than using PView.  PView
doesn't "end tasks" as other task managers do, it only initiates an "exit"
command.  If the program doesn't respond to the exit command, PView can't do
anything about it.
