Can I please have those instructions to setup my hotmail emails to come thru my Outlook express? as I'm a longtime hotmail user cheers, Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: Alan Clendinen To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, March 07, 2007 1:32 PM Subject: re: Outlook Express and Hotmail accounts Gezim and Jill, The problem you are having with accessing your hotmail accounts through Outlook Express has nothing to do with your not paying for premium Hotmail access. As long as you had been using your hotmail account before Microsoft started charging for Hotmail access via Outlook Express, you were grandfathered in, and can still access your Hotmail account through your Outlook Express program for free. I'm still doing it with no problem. The problem you are having is caused by a setting in your Outlook Express. I suspect that it is attempting to open both hotmail accounts, and is rejecting the password you are giving it, because it is looking for the other password. I now only access my hotmail account through the website instead of managing it with outlook express. This was frustrating to me of course because I liked being able to manage all of my email accounts using outlook express. You may have to switch email providers? Possibly Gmail? I have two Hotmail accounts that I have been using with Outlook Express, but recently a problem has occurred. All the time I am prompted to enter my password for my account, and even after I do so, I get the same prompt over and over. I have tried removing and adding my Hotmail accounts several times, but that did not stop the problem. This has been happening only with my personal computer, while I have been experiencing another strange problem with my office computer, too. When I want to send a document as attachment, I get a message, which approximately says something like 'no profile has been created for MS Outlook'. In fact, I am using Outlook Express here as well, so I find the message quite strange. I am looking forward to your help.
