Attention Vicky: I would like to know your e mail address so I can send you off the list. HTH Roden -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Vicki Wherry Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 6:50 AM To: JFW List Subject: Outlook Express, MS Support & Jaws I have a very strange problem with Outlook Express on my laptop, and I can't seem to solve the problem. I've gone through countless articles on the MS Knowledge Base, tried numerous fixes and nothing works. I finally tried MS support, and I get as far as the page that asks me to choose my region. I do, and then I'm suppose to click on the arrow. JAWS isn't finding the arrow, and nothing I've done will help. I've tried JAWS 5.1 and 6.0, but neither work. I'm going to describe my OE problem below, and if anyone has any answers for me, can you e-mail me off list? If there's a solution to the MS support page issue, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks. OE Problem I'm using XP Pro with Service pack 2 and JAWS 5.1 and 6.0 on my laptop. The other day I opened up my e-mail, and it downloaded just fine. When I tried to open an e-mail, though, I got the following error message: The address book failed to load. Outlook Express is incorrectly configured. Please reinstall. There was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. I get this same message when I try to forward a message without opening it. I can save the message as a text file, and then I can open it, but I can't reply. I then tried accessing my address book, and I got the following message: Unable to open address book. The address book may not be installed properly. If I try to reinstall my address book, I get the following message: Error importing to the address book. Finally, when I try to exit Outlook Express, it won't close unless I go to running processes and shut it down. I completely cleaned out all my filters, deleted the folders, deleted my accounts, message rules and block senders list. I made sure I had all the latest updates, including those for Outlook Express, and tried putting everything back in. My accounts went in great, but I couldn't install the address book. I'm still having all the same problems. Again, if anyone has a solution to either how to get JAWS to read the support page or how to fix my OE, please e-mail me off-list. Thanks.
