Not saying unread in OE

Hi All,
For some reason Jaws has stopped saying "unread" in OE. Can anybody please
tell me how to make Jaws say unread , for unread messages? I am running
XP/Office 2002 Home, OE 6, Jaws 8, 9, & 10 latest. I have looked in
verboscity, configuration manager & tools/options not finding anything for
this issue. Is there an option that I'm overlooking or not understanding?
