Need help with Quattro Pro

Hi people,
I need some assistance with Quattro Pro 13 and Jaws Pro 9 on an XP Pro
system. At this point I'm unable to read any text contained within the
worksheet. The docs I need to use are .xls, but I understand Quattro
Pro should be able to handle them. I think I just need some help on
Jaws settings, and probably some QP settings as well.
