That's actually not an easy question because sometime it seems that eventhough
winamp can play the file type, the website expects windows media or realplayer
to play it. What I do is set the winamp prefferences to play aall file types
then in windows media player, set to play all files and uncheck mp3, and cds
from the list of files windows media player can play.
How to do this
In wimamp controll+p to get into prefferences, when you hear treview file types,
hit select all, then hit close. The controlls work well except in the list of
file types, jaws won't tell you what is checked and unchecked. However, hitting
the space bar will select and de-select these items. In Windows Media player,
go to tools->options then select the formats tab. hit the space bar on select
all and again on apply then tab back to the list of file types and hit your
space bar on mp3 and cd. After doing that, hit space bar on apply and ok.
One thing I forgot in Winamp, there's a checkbox in the filetypes treeview that
says associate with audio cds, check that. You're certainly welcome to make
winamp play everything it can but thatt's how I've made things work.
