Is it saying just once, immediately after you open it, or every time you
press the down arrow key?

I am running jaws 9, MS Word 2003, and Windows XP. When I open a
word document jaws says inches from top and left and the page number and
after opening a word document and using the down arrow. Does anybody
know how to make jaws stop doing this annoying issue.
