Hi folks,
Just as a matter of interest the information I get from MS Outlook seems
to change some from day to day.
Currently I am getting te number of messages as well as how many unread.
Last week Outlook went completely nuts and would not tell me who the
message was from, what the subject was or when I got it.
All of a sudden the thing cleared up and all was well. Occasionally JAWS
seems to freeze up and then go on. I have looked through the Task
Manager and all seems to be in order. When I request m messages from SBC
Yahoo sometimes I and told how many messages are being downloaded and
other times I am told how much time remains on the downloads. Hmm?
When I use the JAWS cursor occasionally I get to wander around the
computer while looking for the send/receive information and other time I
can just go right to it.
Some of these changes seem tocorespond to Windows Critical Downloads.
Even more Hmm...
Cy, the Ancient okie...

That confirms it. There must be something wacky with my Outlook
settings or something. It only tells me how many items there are. Very
strange.

Well that would be correct then. I use MS outlook 2000 on one machine
and MS outlook 2002 on another machine. On both machines my status line
reads x number of items and x number unread.

For me in ms outlook when I hit insert+num pad 3 it reads 2 messages and
= 1 unread when I had 2 messages and only read 1

For me, the status line only announces how many items I have in my In
Box and not how many are unread. This is in Outlook, though, and not
Outlook Express. I wonder if that could be the difference.

When I read the status line it tells me how many items, then how many
unread.

If you needed a count of how many unread messages (separate from how
many total messages), I guess you would have to change your current view
to just unread messages, get the count I described, then if you needed
to, go back to the view showing all messages. I have mine sorted by
subject and my show six items 5 unread. So I am not sure why a user
would have to do what you describe above. =3D20
