I as well am no fan. Actually, the mp3 format is not that great, especially in the lower compression modes. Apple uses a file designation called .aac, hence the need for scripts to convert formats.

As I'm saving up for a bookport, I'll find out how .wav files work on it.

Yes, and why pay £30 for scripts which is like upwards of $60 American, for a program that costs half as much and works better? I'm telling you guys, iTunes sucks. Anapod Explorer
http://www.redchairsoftware.com, works a whole lot better, because it uses a standard windows explorer interface. You can't use the iTunes music store with it, but you ain't missing much anyways. Plenty of other alternatives.
Plus Anapod Explorer requires *no* scripts, at all.

Rich,

An Ipod *is* an mp3 player!

You'll need software to transfer the songs to the player, and I tunes is one
software program. There are scripts for it to work with jaws.

I have X P home and JAWS 6.0
What is the difference in an I POD and a M P 3 player?

I would like to copy my music C D's to one of these players.
Is one better with JAWS? Is this possible?
Do I need any special software?
Can I copy a C D directly to a player, or, do I have to copy it to my hard
drive?

Thank you for any help and advice!

Rich
