Isn't it amazing how laptops put their keys in really different places. I just set up Jaws laptop on a laptop so I would not have to constantly carry a standard keyboard around with me and it is really weird. I am not having as much trouble remembering the Jaws commands as I am just finding how to locate things like home, end, page up and down, all involving function keys, and then the flat keyboard also annoys me. . Sometimes I feel like I need a third hand. I have never ever tried a Jaws dump, hope I never feel the need to use that keystroke on the desk top or the laptop. My Windows key is on the very top row, second from the right, and my control keys are at the bottom, one on the far left and one the second key to the right of the spacebar, so I definitely agree with whoever it was that said you need three hands for that! <smile> Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.youravon.com/juliemorales Currently in Winchester Regional, Virginia Clear, 42F°(6C°) Wind:S (170°) at 3mph (3KT) Life is a combination of magic and pasta. - Federico Fellini ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Jenkins" <saveup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, December 03, 2006 4:06 PM Subject: RE: JAWS Dump The keystroke to do the jaws memory dump is "control + Windows key + F4" I hope this helps. The only problem is that you did not say how to do the memory dump. The only other reason I've ever used it is if jaws stops speaking and won't restart. If you do the memory dump, it will kill all jaws processes which should then allow you to restart jaws without a reboot. Cheers.
