Try to review the format applied in that document. Example, the font style,
size, if it is zoomed, if the word in created in the word art etc. The pater
size can be one of the reasons.

Hi Listers, when I'm in a word document, and do control+shift+right arrow
Jaws repeats" select, select, select", It wont speak the word I'm trying
to select then when I check for selected text (no surprise) there is no text
selected. I'm using Jaws 7.0 with Win XP home. Your assistance will be
