I bet it's the flash content that's affecting you. Use the personalized web
settings shift+Jaws key+v and arrow down to flash messages off. It'll only
disable it for gmail. See if that helps. You might also try setting gmail
up to come to your outlook or outlook express mailbox. I finally learned
how to set mine up and I'll never go back to the webform unless I'm on
someone else's computer.

Hi folks,
I'm running the latest version of XP, service pack 3, with the latest
(literally just updated this morning) version of JFW, 1 3 GHZ processor,
and a gig of Ram. I know I've posted about this before, but the problem
is still happening. When I try to use Gmail's web based interface, my
Jaws stutters very badly.
Now, I've noticed a few things. There is something on my Gmail page that
says "Connecting in 3 M", and a link directly below that which says "try
again". When whatever this is gets down to, say, trying to connect in
less then one minute, this is when my stuttering problem begins, and
when it goes back to connecting in 3 minutes, the stuttering problem
disappears. I know, it's strange, but does anyone have any idea what
this might be on the page, and more importantly, how I can disable it?
I should also say that if I switch to the "Older Version" of the
Standard Gmail view or to the Basic HTML view, the stuttering also
completely disappears.
Now that I have a much faster connection to the net then my old dial
up, I'd like to use the Gmail's web based interface more often without
having to switch back to the Older Version all the time. Any suggestions?
