Jaws stalls on read-all down command

Hi Listers, when I do insert+down-arrow in a MS Word document , JFW will read
a few lines or sentences then stops, so I must keep down-arrowing to go any
farther in the document. I tried maximizing the screen, this did not help, my
bag of tricks was expended at this point. So I would appreciate your help on
this new Jaws challenge. I am using Jaws 6.1 with Win XP home.
