Chris,
You're pretty far behind on the technology curve with JAWS version 6. There
have been so many new developments on web pages and IE 7 (ARIA for example in
IE 8) that your access issues might be better solved by upgrading to a new
version of JAWS.
I don't even have the source disks any more for JAWS 7 and older.
