Ok, here is the simple script I created to turn the pause key on my Thinkpad into a key to place focus on the desktop. From wherever you are in Windows, hit insert-0 or jawskey-0 to enter the script manager. Hit Ctrl-shift-d to modify the default file. Hit ctrl-end to go to the bottom of the file and make sure you're on a blank line. Hit ctrl-e to open the new script dialog. Give the script a name such as GoToDesktop. Tab to the Can be Assigned to Key checkbox and check it. The Synopsis, Description and Category fields are not strictly needed. Just before you encounter the ok button, you finally get to choose which key will activate the script. In the Assign To box hit the key, in this example I used pause. Dismiss the dialog box. You are now in the script manager, positioned between the line with the name of the script and the line that says Endscript. As long as you are between those lines, the number of blank lines between does not matter. Now hit ctrl-i to insert our one command. Hit tab to get into the list of commands. Type min quickly to get to commands beginning with those letters. Your goal is the command minimize all apps. Once you get to it, hit enter. This will add it to the script. Once you've done this, hit ctgrl-s to save and compile. If the compile is successful, close the script manager. You've done it.
