Don, I think she's talking about having trouble copying those files to a CD to listen to. Now, if I remember correctly, Audible Manager includes a capability to do this properly using only Audible Manager, but you have to install or activate the function. Or something like that. I think it mightbe worth a call to Audible tech support. Which, by the way, has a toll free number which I can find if someone wants it, but really, I think this is the thing to do. Was there something she said that gave yuou the impression thatshe'd signed up with Audible but had not learned about Audible Manager and installed it, so she didn't even know she could listen to the programs on her computer nor that she could copy them to her portable player if it wasAudible-ready and she plugged it into the USB port while audible Manager wasrunning? This is basic stuff. I thought she must know all that, but missedthe instructions about how to burn an audible program to a CD. None of whichwould be a a problem if you're using Audible Manager and set up the right stuff. The tech support people would be happy to explain, I'm sure. filescoputer gbooisntalled made you It's not about----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Moore" <donmoore@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 02, 2008 5:45 PM Subject: Re: Jaws and audible.com Hi, I do purchase and read audible books from audible dot com, but thosebooks are in a special format with the extension aa. Therefore, they must beplayed with their software, namely Audible Manager which is available on their web site, or you can convert them to mp3 files using a program like GoldWave. I am running JFW 9 and a trial version of Neuro 8. I cannot seem to successfully burn books to then play on my daisy and don't know if it is a JFW issue that I am missing something or if I am really not understanding the process. If anyone is successful with this I'd sure appreciate some help. I've spent too many hours trying unsuccessfully to accomplish this. You can email me at lyewchan@xxxxxxxxx Thanks in advance!
