hi,
there might be 2 possible reason, actually maybe more, but i only think of 2
right now.
1. could be your sound card or perhaps the sound card device driver issue. try
to update to the latest version of the driver and see
whether the problem still occur.
2. there is also a possible reason that your computer lag of memory. how many
MB/GB of memory you are using? perhaps you need more
for newer version of jaws.

I'm having some situation with my jaws on the website pages. My jaws voice
sound dragged in the website and I had to press ctrl to
stop the jaws talking and insert down arrow so the jaws voice can read normal
and when it jaws read again the jaws voice sound
dragged again and I had to stop it by press ctrl again and insert down arrow to
read with the nnormal jaws voice again. Does
anybody have that problem with their jaws in the website page? I will
appreciate if somebody help me.
