Re: Jaws 8 slow on Alt Tab change?

Hi Adrian,

Yes, I did reboot, which at first didn't affect this quirk. But, and don't
ask me what this could mean, but after a few minutes' use, Alt Tabbing
around the Task Bar became crisp again, as it was before I installed the new
version. So, who knows? but it's all right, now. Needed some sort of
10-minute break-in routine? Yeah, right. Well, whatever. Now it's okay.

Hi, Yardbird.

I don't experience this problem. Did you reboot after installing JAWS 8 and
re-establishing all your settings? You will find some changes in behavior,
some odd, but most for the good.

I've just installed Jaws 8 (the latest version from the FS site) and have
been running through the various settings in the Jaws window and the
Configuration Manager to familiarize myself with the new items and set a
couple of things. So far, everything is working all right, but one thing
strikes me oddly: When I have several applications open at once, as I do
now, and I cycle among them with the Alt Tab command, there's a
millisecond's hesitation before Jaws announces the application I've moved
into. Jaws 7 just snaps from one window or application to the next with that
command, without any hesitation or intervening silence. Is this sluggishness
common to everyone's copies of Jaws 8? It's kind of clunky.

thanks.
