Hi all, I've written before about how JAW's version 5.1 stops reading while reviewing draft messages in Outlook express. It reads 3 or 4 paragraphs, then it stops and requires the insert down arrow key combination to be pressed to continue reading. But, even so, it will only then read another 2 or 3 sentences before stopping again. So, it becomes a tiresome bother to read a full Email draft from top to bottom, and, one loses any sense of how the whole document will sound to intended recipients. Today, after drafting a long Email to a friend, I tried reviewing the full Draft, but as usual, ran into the same problem. So, I copied and pasted the full draft Email text into Notepad, and voila! No problem at all. The full Email draft was read to me without hesitation or pause! I copied and pasted that same text back into my Outlook Express draft Email and again, the same old problem. It stopped reading at the third or fourth paragraph, but that's random, it could easily be the fifth, sixth or eighth paragraph. I then checked which format my Email was written in and found it was set to "plain text". So, for a test, I changed it to RTF or HTML and voila! No problem, JAW's read the full Email draft text from top to bottom without any hesitation whatsoever. I've just done the same test on this very Email, and again when Outlook Express was in "plain text" mode, JAW's stopped reading just before the point where it says, "...but that's random, it could easily be the fifth, sixth or eighth paragraph." Then, I changed it to RTF (HTML) and no problem, JAW's read this whole Email from top to bottom without any hesitation at all. It beats me why this should be so, it never happened in any other version of JAW's I've had, but there you go, I've found a "quick and dirty" rough patch up solution to this annoying issue. does anybody have an explanation of why this is happening, or any idea's of what changes to the JAW's configuration would set things to right more permanently? Thanks for listening!
