Hi Roy,
If he is talking about an ILM authorization, there is no need to remove it.
It's not something you can remove and re-install, like the floppy
authorization.
And if you are installing an O/S upgrade, the existing O/S must be there for
the upgrade to take place.
The upgrade looks for certain imformation from the existing O/S,
to determine if an upgrade is permitted.

hi,
definantely remove the authorization key. Also the best thing to do is to
reformat the hard drive when you install windows xp home.

Subject: JAWS6 and XP Home

Hi:
Well I finally broke down and ordered XP home edition upgrade, will I lose
an ILM key when I install it? Will I need sighted help to install?
For those of you looking for XP Home i purchased from Amazon.com for $64,
after a $30 instant rebate for signing up for a Amazon credit card, this is
bottom line price. Have any of you seen it for less?
Thanks,
George R. Marshall
