Hi, thanks for reminding me about Advanced Windows Care! I used to use this
programme under XP, but haven't bothered using it under Vista, since I
didn't know there was such a version for Vista. Now I've found it though,
I've just done a scan, and boy what a load of repairs it's done to my
system! So far it hasn't caused any problems, but I'll know better when I do
a reboot. One querk though, and I think it's a limitation of the Personal
(free) edition, is that startup items can't seem to be removed. Anyone else
had this querk? It's no big deal, I was just wondering as I've done 2 or 3
scans and it kept saying, "startup manager check box checked 4 items found",
and, on the last scan, there was no repair button.

I use Advanced windows care from Iobit
There is a personal edition that does a real nice job.
Cleans the registry and does general house keeping on your system. Been
using it for about a year now and found know issues with it on my xp pro
machine.

I know, that is why I added I never had any problems with it.
On the contrary, ad aware is one thing that made me reinstall the entire pc,
so that thing will never be allowed on any of my computers.that one cleaned
to where nothing worked anymore beyond repair too.
