I just tried it on your message and it worked fine. I wasn't aware of that 
method of going directly to a link - it worked great!

Yes.  Tab is still not announcing links in messages.  I tried turning on
"Use Legacy Internet Explorer Support" but this didn't help.

Guess not enough people have reported this bug yet.
